What do you mean by rescued? From the wild or someone's yard? I refuse to have any ducks. They are messy and I like duck hunting too much to go and ruin it. Cute little duckling though.

Prolly rescued out of one of those wooden woodduck square traps that are nailed to trees with a big hole in it. I've been tempted to rescue my share of poor duckies.

I'm gonna put a few of them nest boxes up this year. Problem is just getting to them to check whether or not they're being used I'll be covered in ticks, and chiggers.

Abandoned in the middle of the street in the city at 3 days old. Havent seen any boxes up here in the foothills.

lol. The wood ducks will use just about any box really. My grandpa has one at his pond and there have been two clutches hatched out this year.

There's a few boxes around the scattered waterways down in the city and i've seen wood ducks in a couple parks but no where near this little one. Animal rescue said leave it and they would come back. Haha ya right.
Anyways looks like everyone's fowl are in molt my big boy just lost his sickle feathers and looks silly now. And my two youngest cockerals just started crowing which is even sillier than said tailless roo.
