yeah they do look similar. They both ar gl, dark hackles, pea combed. The penny's have a rounder head/face though and so far they seem like they will be taller and heavier. The penny's are big birds.
The pullets on the other hand are way easier to tell apart at a glance. They are stockier and meaner than the leipers. Also they have more of a rust colored hue to their neck feathers.
Also the penny's are a little older but you can be holding a pullet with two hands and she can almost wriggle out of your hands. Strong birds.

if that has Canadian peas in it its no good for me. I caught my 3 yr old putting one in his nose!! That was last year though. Lol

None of you guys have any brassback Albany do ya? There is a guy on another forum I'm sure you can find that has some outstanding looking brassback hens. And I mean Outstanding. Some of the nicest looking hens I have ever seen. He may not even be in the states I'm not sure.
