Hello all I'm am trying to get started in gamefowl and was wondering if anyone would be will king to let me have a few chicks or young pairs to get started. I am on disability and I really love these birds and my kids love them and I'm wanting to start raising them to keep my kids on a good track in life

Haha, omgoodness...I read through the first page laughing. I will probably read more later...
Honestly I think I have the 'gamiest' chickens in the world, being that they were feral for twenty years...survival of the fittest yknow...but I don't really like animals in sports and entertainment so much. I just want them to be chickens. I have decided, however, that I will probably keep a game roo in with each of my other coops, as well. I love how game they are because it protects my flock. The roosters take the best care of the ladies settling squabbles, rationing out treats, knowing when to fight or run (had stupid roos from other breeds stick their heads out the run only to get bitten off by a predator they couldn't fight).
I love the advice about selling pullets, those are all great ideas. I usually deal with middle aged women, and farm types, so I would try to sell them girls based on them being good broodys and free rangers. Mine will try to hatch every single egg they lay if you don't take them in time.
Thanks for letting me photo bomb you guys. I haven't found another group of people yet that appreciate them as much as I do.
