Shubin why games? Why not just mess around with other breeds. There are plenty that do well free range. I once had a hamburg hen that I never touched after the day I let her outside. She lasted a few years before something got her. She slept probably 75 -100 ft up in the trees. She could fly easily was always on my roof and would fly off all the way to the trees in the back yard.
I guess I like to think of games as the closest relative to wild chickens, which is why I'd like to start with games. They look the part thats for sure. I guess from what I have seen in Hawaii has led me to beleive that they will go ferel fairly easy. We have some urban ferel chickens in my town that look part game. A truely wild version living in the forest/river would be a challenge and I would be proud if I was able to breed superior "wild" chickens. I am not opposed to non-games especially if they help survive better.

And games are no where close to a pomerainian. lol

Oh.. are you asking what birds I bought?

I bought an American Game stag with yellow legs... looks almost identical to my oldest 2014 Stag. I will upload picture of him when I get home from work... still 3 oclock here

He looks almost identical to this guy..

Truly not trying to argue but it seems as though some want to go backwards. Human beings domesticated the chicken and now you want them to be wild. I don't quite understand. There are wild jungle fowl ya know. Releasing a Pomeranian into the woods don't make it a wolf.

I don't know just something I want to do.
I always say to people whatever floats your boat, as long as it don't sink mine lol
So to each their own right?

Ok that question I asked reminded me when I went to see my sister in Kentucky and tried to communicate with the Kentucky folk and I would have to repeat myself a few times and slow down for them to understand me. An accent coupled with talking fast and I lost them. But it was culture shock both ways I couldn't understand them and they couldn't understand me lol. But at least we all thought it was funny

He didnt know the breed... they are ferel chickens that have lived in his yard since before he moved there. The town of Mira Loma is known for having an overwhelming number of gamefowl farms.

They were definitely American Gamefowl tho, no doubt in my mind.
