I was looking over the two miners and that mel simms. Their combs are massive. I was thinking that rubles was about the same but no his was a good bit smaller.

That's why that experienced guy goes by wattle. When he came by would only dub that one miner everybody else has to wait.

I'm waiting as long as I can, but the frostbite is getting worse. Like you said before I'm just gonna have to do it if they get much worse and hope for the best. Think I'm gonna try and wait til the weekend. My wife don't get home quite early enough to do em during the week. I thought I would have time but not quite enough.

Hey flypen how's the chicks doing?

Driving me nuts! Lol no the first batch is quail size and the second batch has just got their wing feathers developed. I have noticed that the ones with the best character so far are Albany/Hatch cross. I have another batch hatching Friday, some are under a hen and the others are in a bator. I'm hoping this ice storm hasn't hindered the hatch rate from the hens eggs, we another wave of ice coming through again tonight.

The frostbite, unless caught early or allowed to drop off makes the dubbing process nasty. The necroding tissue combs off as you handle comb and wattles to trim.
