I just had a game hen out in pasture getting into a turf battle with an American Robin. Songbird was taunting her and she made multiple 30 feet flights after it. I have never seen such before.

Darn it, just my luck. :(
dont sweat it. If you look around on the Internet, do a little research and you can find plenty of good birds/eggs for sale. If you have silkie hens I would recommend that you buy eggs and have them shipped to you and let one of your silkie hens hatch them for you. Start from scratch.

I would do that, but I only have enough pens for one game rooster and a few hens, I can't take the overwhelming chance that I'll get more than one rooster, not to mention I already have 4 roosters, 3 of which live in the same pen with 12 hens, and I'm hatching more silkie eggs, which will inevitably result in at least one rooster. I was looking more for sexed birds, but I'm aware that getting sexed birds is fairly diificult and I'm not into shipping chickens.

i would recommend you wait on any kind of gamefowl until you have plenty space and means to keep and care for them. Inevitably you will have to separate birds for one reason or another. It can also get very expensive.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I'll have to wait for my games. I also don't have a lot in terms of funding, looks like I'll have to find a better paying job than babysitting.

if you jumped right into it and got in over your head it would become frustrating fast. You may get discouraged and throw in the towel. Just take your time and do as much research as you can. Take advice from others. Look at some of my previous posts. You can see that I didn't stake my pens down the other day and I had a bit of a problem. That right there you can learn from.

Thanks for your encouragement, after I read what you said about it being expensive and stuff like that, I honestly was gonna just foget about getting games altogether, but I still may get some, just later on.

its not terribly expensive to keep chickens alive, but it can get ridiculously expensive to properly care for them. Constantly cleaning pens, replacing straw, broken feeders, waterers, fixing pens, lumber, wire, and then you have feed. Pellets are fine but most chickens will do far better with a little more variety.
I also raise birds for feathers. The feed alone for them is almost prohibitively expensive. So even if you had the birds you might not get the same feather quality out of them.
It definately won't be an enjoyable experience if your having trouble paying for everything.
