thats a swing perch helps with balance and yes i dubbed him last week his legs are white i also have 5 babys from this gut im only keeping the stags of these 5 ill sell the hens...

I use straw... its cheap and composts nicely after its soiled.

I like to use wood pellets. Feeder setup so they can't scratch easily and waterer up on bricks so they do not scratch pellet material or feed into it. Also be up on biosecurity or use medicated feed.

Pine shavings. Medicated feed. Waterer up on bricks after a few days with electrolytes in it. Works for me.

I can't stand shavings I have a whole bag but can't seem to get myself to open it. I use wheat straw till about a week old then they evicted to outside wire floor cages.

No medicated feed till they hit the ground then they get medicated and I give a week of corid after 2 to 3 weeks after being on the ground just for safe measure. Never had any real issues with cocci. Lost one about 3 yrs. Ago
