It is out of his stock which I'm guessing is toppy a line I have never seen in person. However he feels it is not from his cock but there are no other childrens in his yard or around. I saved its life as I met the guy at the feed store just now and it was going to be snake food so I will just give it to my mother inlaw. It's a little off looking to me so I wouldn't eat it...LOL this is his blood stag

If you mean lights in the room? I leave them on when I only have a few eggs left to hatch and they are already pipped. If I have a lot of eggs hatching j leave the room as dark as possible so tbe hatched chicks don't bowl the eggs around too much.

Ok thanks. Its only 13. One more thing my little chick had a string of something hanging from its but that was stuck to the shell. He's not stuck now thought but its a fleshy string hanging about a centimeter from its butt. What is it? Should I be worried???

nope that's normal. Once it dries up you can cut it with sharp scissors close just so other chicks don't yank on it. But you shouldn't have a problem. It falls off on its own.

Ok thanks. My other didn't have it so it freaked me out!! And its funny ones yellow the others black! And they look huge compared to the eggs they came out of!! This is my first time in incubator! Very excited!!
