Here is something my little ones are getting into. Three year old boy gets ho-hums about fishing because of what I do for living but both kids get into messing with bees. Daughter shown below is getting to see, hear and smell a small swarm of honey bees.

Swarm in multifloral rose about 2.5 feet above the ground.

My phone is one of those $11 dollar base models that makes taking and uploading images a hassle. Normally a camera of some sort used then images have to be downsized for uploading making to large time investment.

I have tons of bees in my yard this year, but no colony. I pulled all the weeds except the sunflowers. I want to get a bee box setup, but I need to do my research first.

Put a box out with proper openings. In your parts killer bees will find it quick. They tend to be cranky so you will not be able to work them like I do in shorts without a veil.

I assume Centra is joking... Bees are great for adults and kids, but starting out your beekeeping experience by luring in an Africanized swarm of honey bees is not for the beginner. That may end poorly for people and fowl.

Centra nice Cock bird in the news story and great of you to share your birds and time!

I have a feeling there's someone on here that can give u a wealth of info in bee keeping shubin
