I tend to keep all my animals (and myself) on the slightly hungry side... especially during the summer.
If I was exercising them or if it was cold, I would up the feed, but right now they are just laying around in the shade most of the day.

I feed twice a day, and I always make sure I can see a round crop after feeding. 
They are just laying around cause they're starving lol

Looks good. I had a nice birchen x hatch cross stag a few years ago. The mother was an unknown birchen I had acquired in a trade, and the father was my Hatch broodcock (Fabio) that is my profile picture. Unfortunately all passed away from various coyotes and dogs attacks.

 
I think "razor" breast is an indicator of sickness. I really notice it on sickly chickens. I can always feel the breast bone, but most of my chickens have muscle on either side (less the sick ones).

I feed heavy about once a week or whenever I feel bad. I feed the chicks plenty, because I know its important for initial growth.

. sorry about in the dog same thing has happened to me, I think the best remedy for that is a bullet

yeah that's what I'm saying they lose what they already don't have they done. And from my sperience between say 6no to 2yrs is the time to build but I like my birds a lil on the heavy side
