TSC has it for $15 a bag, a buddy of mine feeds it straight every other day, I can't say it has helped him because mine are putting on new feathers a lot faster than his.

My tsc ain't all that good. Says they have it online but I haven't seen it in the store. I'll look tomorrow and give it a try. See if it makes a difference on a few birds.

Worked nearly all my cocks and stags yesterday... Made sure everyone was gasping for breathe before putting them away.

Worked the man fighter the hardest, I pushed him around and let him beat me up for at least 10 minutes straight. Banged up my hand pretty good.

There are easier ways to exercise those birds ya know. If I let my manfighter beat me up for 10 minutes I wouldn't be able to type this. I have to check to make sure he ain't breaking the wire on the pen. He's made a new habit out of drop kicking pellets of food and droplets of water too. I'm starting to think he doesn't like me much.

Most of my brood pullets come almost identical, so culling normally takes me a little longer. This year one of my hatch pullets came green legged, I've only had 5 of them come with green legs in 33 yrs.

Below are my criteria.

Physically sound (no infirmities)
Symmetrical in feathers, head and feet
Good feathering (coloration not important)
Good body mass (no underweight birds)
Good muscle tone (based on feel)
Tight abdomen (minimal belly fat based on feel)
Alertness based on close observation
Good endurance / rapid recovery from intense physical activity
Not bottom of pecking order (mid-ranking OK)
Not extremely small or large
Calms down after a few days of handling or less
Gameness as estimated from male kin that did not survive (very few fail this test)
