A lot of protein in those little pinkies.

Glad to hear you cleaning out the pen. I hope that helps with the issue you were talking about. I heard spraying it down with a little bleach water mix will kill off a lot harmful stuff. And this Poultry Protector spray helps a lot. I use it all the time.. just spray it all over them.

is that stuff safe 4 egg producers? yeah I could see the milk thrue the pinkie gut. I have beetle larve in my yard bigger than those things

How those new ones doing @artblueggwanter ?

pretty good, thanks for asking. I let them free range and the little silver went Awal I was very worried but like an hour later I heard him chirping in the neighbors yard, jumped over and got him. ive been putting them in the big coop during the day while the big ones free range

eventually the 2 bigger ones will go in with the sumatras and as soon as the broody hens hatch out their chicks those two broody hens and the 4 plus my 2 chicks will go free range. im a lil worried about the silver tho I don't want him to go awal again.

The grey (silver) was just taken from his mama and brothers, so he was probably freaking out.. As soon as he finds friends his age, he will stick with the flock...

yeah, he was scared, the other one his age seemed fine tho, seems like she has been on her own for a while
yea her mama adonded her and her siblings really young. Her mama was jet black, but she turned out hatch colored, because of the father... If you breed that one to a black rooster the offspring will most likely be black as well.. or some sort of Brown Red.
