Yes I probably am feeding to much, today they are free ranging only. Plenty to forage in my jungle back yard. But I am going to get some sort of feed cups I think. On the water jugs how do you cut those? I got jugs...Out of all that all I can say is if u have waste you're feeding too muck
I use feed cups and cut gallon jugs for water
Gotta admit I laughed on staking the birds what came to mind is grabbing up chickens and saying ok u going here bam bam bam, you going here bam, bam bam. Sorry its tie cords and no I don't but others do
Oh and imo the oeg are a show chicken and has been bred to a standard at whatever cost including losing its gameness. Whereas the American games are bred for gameness
And the different breeds that is just gonna have to come with reading and experience.

what do u use as a water container to pour the water into the cups? Some type of jugI use water and feed cups year round. So I fill water cups before I go in for the night and as soon as I get home in the early afternoon.
In winter i use V bottom black 16 oz cups and summer 32 oz gray oval cups. I hate waterers and the milk jugs obviously work but they get filthy quick. Some birds are worse than others with screwing up their water though.
Main reason I quit using them is my pens are all screwed down with no doors "no chance of escaping" so I stick to the cups. Then every now and then I scoop em them all up in a couple of buckets and scrub them out. Within about 30 seconds they get em dirty again lol![]()

Like havoc said the birds can get them dirty some more than others I try to set them on top their nest boxes
It works for me and I prolly have over 100 jugs. My neighbors save me theirs. Every now and then I cut a few new ones and replace the dirtiest ones.
Same milk jugs, just leave em whole.what do u use as a water container to pour the water into the cups? Some type of jug
