I DONT ever think i could ever let any of my fowl freerange totally, it would break my heart to lose a stag like those indigo blues, to a government protected chicken killer hawk ,i have seen a hatch of 3 sibling hawks and the parent s,just last week the hawks were dive bombing my chicken Domes ,and chicken tractors.

I have lost a few. I trap the sh*t out of my yard and the surrounding woods. I have 18 traps set all day along with some snares. Hawks are another story. Although there are ways to avoid problems with them.

Red tails ain't that good at what they do. Couldn't even take down a brahma hen. The smaller Hawks, all of them are a nightmare. Once the leaves drop And they start migrating I'll have more trouble. I need to get rid of about 50 birds from now til then. Lol
