I tried cat food but they would not touch it... Which seems odd to me because in past when I had birds before the chickens always stole cat or dog food. P.S. I am at work guarding my ewuipment... So eggs it is fot tomorrow too as tje feed store will be closed by the time I can get off work. I will add olive oil to the feed to help.
I noticed when I changed cat food brands which looked like small brown spheres they wouldnt eat at first... They didnt recognize and it looked a lot like my goat poop, which they know doesnt taste to good lol

Those round bails weigh about half ton?

I'd hate to crash into one of those... or lose one (probably expense)
oh yea, we had to reroll it onto our flat bed because it rolled out of the back of the truck. Thankfully only five minutes from the house. Dad thought he didn't need to strap it in  he straps them in now.

I think you would be hard pressed to find any critter that does not harbor at least some types of worms, whether they be in freshwater or saltwater. Most do not have the ability infect us even when consumed alive like in sushi / sashimi. Do not eat your crayfish raw as that can kill! Japanese found that out the hardware with your Red Swamp Crayfish.

Do not feed live crayfish or freshly killed wild minnows to chickens either. They eat them like candy but some parasite they carry normally might cause fish eating birds no problem but may hammer chickens. Fish reared in tanks are no problem.
why crawfish? Do you know what kills?

Never mind. Starting reading about human paragonimiasis and quit. Ironic the cases I read were in Missouri
