Yes. Used to do a lot of Grouse hunting up there, but never got a chance to trout fish. Never ran into a Rattler though. 6 inches is close! Used to see one now and then at our old camp in Tioga county. But never been that close to one unless it was dead.@YdogsflY have you ever been to Sproul state forest in Pa? Plenty of trout streams in the area but loaded with timber rattlesnakes. I almost stepped on a black phase full grown with yellow rattle and I mean missed it by like 6 inches. Scared the p*ss outta me. I was looking for a wild trout stream so I was way back in there in a ravine.
