I agree with you shubin. It's mainly greed. Watch the egg industry tank now. All the "humane" efforts are costing more combined with the losses from bird flu. All that followed by decreased demand for eggs since the big companies have switched to egg alternatives during the egg shortage from a few years ago. To be honest these companies brought it on themselves.
I am not a bleeding heart in the least but seeing thousands of hens stacked on top of each other on tiny cages turns my stomach.

I saw no beard. I was going by the scrawny arms. Lol
ya I have less than 8% body fat. I have the Bruce lee cut thing going on. Years of fighting and training kept me thin, as I had to make weight constantly. And Genetics.

all my former football/gym friends are the exact opposite. They build muscle but somehow keep topping it with fat. i think its all the junk they put in the shakes/drinks

Being less than 10% usually has a lot to do with genetics.
That is if they're not starving themselves. The same genetics that keep you at 8% prevent you from gaining muscle.

Your buddies pack on fat like that while building muscle because that's the best/fastest way to do it. Building muscle while losing fat is very slow going. Gotta pick one over the other.

could be. I am not an expert on it. I dont work hard at gaining big muscles tho. I work out, but with push-ups, pull-ups and hitting the bag mostly.
I've always been taught plyometrics (explosive power training) but my heavier buddy suggested slower and heavier weight to gain mass.

Yeah but you would probably have to eat like 5000 calories a day to do it. But not those 3 day a week bs programs. More like 4-6 days. As long as your waist size stays the same your good while gaining weight. Otherwise gotta change something. Lol
