Basic 5 ft extension cable. Double looped with an s hook attached. It's easier o buy the Missouri legal cable restraints but make your own extension cables. All you need is 3/32 7x7 cable. Aluminum double ferrules and s hooks. Measure the cable out, make a loop and feed it through the ferrules then just pound the ferrules flat on a vise or some other hard surface.

Nah. Setting snares with extensions requires 3 tools. S hook tool, needle nose pliers, cable cutters. A roll of annealed tie wire and that's it.

you should start trapping them. They do tons of damage as you know. Gives you a reason to get up early and get out on the water. We don't have water possums here so I'm not sure what the use for em. Probably #1.5-#2 footholds and 220 size body grippers.
