Yeah. He comes around every couple of days. No issues really with him but he's trying. Might need a blood transfusion. Mosquitoes were terrible around 4am.
I can not relate to clear shots like that. I have one strip between house and barn that is 6' wide, otherwise I have to watch for bushes to wiggle and chickens to fly up from bushes to land on barn.

I would still have a major line of sight issue. I have a .22 rifle and a 30-30 and have trouble getting shots even when target is withing 30 feet of me, this time of year. During winter I can see almost every where as vegetation dies back, or will be burned. Then most birds penned.

12 gauge 3 in T shot. You can cut through a lot of brush with that. $5 a shell but they will kill a fox stone dead at 70 yds with a good choke.

In coming years we will be using sheep and goats to clear areas where bad guys can actually be seen. Then patches of brush will be inside that where bad guy can slow down to look while I target.

Havoc, have you tried original (amber) listerine to help deter mosquitoes? I realize you don't want to leave oil/scent on your trap lines, but if just hanging out on porch - spritz your hat and clothes. Works pretty well for me, when I garden or walk the dog.
