Probably food, that's average size of the adult bullfrogs here with no enhanced food.Food in stomach or eggy?
I got some pictures of very fresh egg masses. American Bullfrogs here as big as any I have seen in LA and Florida but those around culture ponds seem to average bigger. Growth supported by quality forage that is around almost all the time. We have a monster on floor in lab that may be eating fish pellets off the floor. It is getting yellow like those that do eating pellets.
Why did you put wire on the bottom? When they scratch they will tear up their feet. If your planning on getting rid of the stags why did you bother building pens for them. They're so little you could have just tossed them into the yard.Got four but others to the left.

This guy right here is a firecracker tried to flog me twice. He might be bad news but i plan to get rid of all stags or cull em.

This next guy to me looks the best and is decently gentle and the biggest thus far.

This is the damaged one he seems to also have a big ego fluffed up to even the sight of the others.

And the last one that i believe to be a stag.

I left the ones that i think to be pullets in the orignal pen all still had yellow combs and not pink larger combs like these.
It is a corn based diet? Do they pick up the pigments? It is getting yellow like those that do eating pellets.
They get big here too without any enhancements, just takes longer. You frogs have close to four more months of growing season per year and likely still feed on warm sunny days in winter.Probably food, that's average size of the adult bullfrogs here with no enhanced food.
Soybean an fish meal with a little corn. The color is off because they do not get the deeper red pigments like comes ultimately from plant tissues that are photosynthetic. Corn has the pigment the fish and frogs can do less with to make color in skin.It is a corn based diet? Do they pick up the pigments?
