I just wanted to know if it would stop em from fighting to the death.
It would be better to just have separate pens. Shortcuts lead to problems.
I've learned my lesson.
If you can, keep hens together from a young age. Once separated most times they can never be put together.
 
Aggression sequence where it is mutual involves a lateral display. The peeper might disrupt that making so aggressive intent less impactful or less likely to be sustained. It must operate before birds come to full blows. Even when unable to see at all they will fight based on sound alone, but partial vision might stop real fighting.
yep they'll fight on sound alone. Witnessed that but not with peeps
 
The only hens I have together have a cock in there with them. They will usually stop the bickering. Doesn't work with all of them though.
