@flypen That female looks pretty alert. do you have any veterinary friends that may try to repair that for you? You won't have long without hydration.

I like to use something smaller when cutting tape and opening boxes.

I need a better skinning knife one I have hardly holds an edge less than halfway through a deer.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on a knife get a mora companion. They have all kinds of models for $15-$100. The $15 knives are just as good and sharp as the $100 knives. The main difference is the more expensive knives are full tang (blade runs the full length of the handle at the same thickness). The cheaper ones are plenty strong though.

My sons first knife. Mora basic. $10

Here’s a mora companion HD. Carbon steel and the blade is thicker. $15-$20

Here’s a mora black Bushcraft. This one has an even thicker blade and handle. One of the absolute best knives for the money.

Is your old timer an old one or new. They haven’t been made in America in a long time and are pretty sh*tty nowadays.

It's recent I do have some old old timer pocket knives. Excuse the guts and fat on it I left it in my blind after skinning one just now went and got it and baited.
