I’m not arguing. I will point out though this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a hawk killing birds through wire like a coon. I may have misread your posts. Either way you don’t have to spend a ton on pens like that wooden pen. You just have to build them right and not take shortcuts. I have lost a lot of birds over the years to hawks (all free range) or in the completely open fenced in run. You can probably just fix the pen you have without spending a lot. They’re your birds not mine do what you want. The point is you posted that a hawk killed your penned birds. The only way for a hawk to get in is a big *ss opening. You may of may not be willing to admit it. Gonna have to put you in the same camp as shubin and birdbrain. LolI'm not interested in arguing with you havoc. I haven't a clue to exactly what happen can only speculate same as you. From here on out all my breeding birds will be in pens like the above. My domes nothing got into those either so I will continue to use those but without doors as I see fit. That hawk Is not very likely to make a second trip back. What's done is done and no use to worry over something in the past.
