The hatch stag has been down and out of character since he scrapped with the BC through the wire mesh.
I just finished cleaning his rear end as he is not pooping properly (squatting down and opening up his feathers).
I'm also giving him some garlic other other day to help his immune system combat any infections. Hes not drinking as much water as he usually does either.

Any tips on making his recovery quicker?

If he's eating and drinking they are usually going to be alright flypen, havoc, sdm them boys usually have nifty tricks.

He could have internal issues how bad did he get hurt? He could be sore or have external wounds.

Me I'd start with some electrolytes and vetRx in water and feed a mixture of egg whites, cooked white rice and some meshed up pellets maybe a bit of fruit mixed in. Just depends on what his issue really is but that's where I'd start.

I was cleaning out and putting in fresh hay and the Stupid Gilmore pullet got out again for the 4th time she flew somewhere. I said the heck with her it's snowing/cold I've got all three kiddos with me...maybe she comes back maybe she don't.

If she does and survives I'd say she's a keeper... Has something special already compared to the rest, it seems.

I checked him thoroughly and he doesn't have any wounds on his body.
Hes pretty messed up in the face but nothing swollen or large gashes. It's mostly packs. I'm sure he'll be ok just trying to do everything possible for a faster recovery.

Let that pullet go man, she obviously wants to be a free spirit

If he dies or stays off from what sounds like superficial wounds I'd rethink that family. Sounds like they may not be too strong
