That pretty much sums it up. I would like to ask what you like about guineas. They don’t eat anymore bugs than any other birds. They might sound an alarm but no better than a rooster. Plus they are ridiculously annoying, ugly as hell and they stink.

Lol didn't mean to set you off. Like I said, I really am interested in learning more about game fowl.
As for guineas, my current 4 eat way more ticks and bugs then my 6 chickens ever have. They are louder then roosters and since we have a lot of racoons, fox, and coyotes around it is kinda necessary to keep them as I have quite literally seen them chase off a full grown fox. Which means my chickens don't become someone else's dinner since they all free range during the day.
I grew up with a few guineas at my parents so I guess I'm used to their antics, they're quite funny birds and the males don't generally go into fighting mode like roosters do.

My husband is very interested in game fowl too so I'm trying to figure out if they would be a good addition to our hobby farm or if it would be better to love them from afar, so to speak. Lol

I have had 20 or so guineas total over a few years. Most got carried off by red foxes. Even dropped one fox in its tracks with a .22 with a white guinea in its mouth. It was already dead though.
What I meant to say is if you can handle those annoying creatures you’d be fine with gamefowl.

I did have an issue with a male guinea messing with a penned rooster. From what I’ve seen though that’s pretty rare.

Yeah that is pretty rare they keep to themselves mostly unless a predator is around then they sound the alarm chase it off and herd every bird on the property into the coop.

That's nice to know though that I should do well with game fowl :celebrate
Thank you :)

Eastern Milk Snake my daughter found. Shubin might like such. Based on description kids gave I thought it was a young Osage Copperhead. I ran to scene.
