Speaking of random animal sightings, I was on my way to a jobsite yesterday when I spotted the most beautiful buttermilk grey hen I ever seen. She was on the side of the road next to a forrested area, rocking some damn near perfect feathering, long white legs, firm round body and a nice red face under a peacomb. Definitely game, no doubt about it. She wasn't dumb either, as I parked on the side of the road and began chasing her, she jumped and flew up on the trees almost immediately like she had done it before. Wish I could've snapped a picture, but phone was dead. I'm sure someone in the area must be keeping some birds because you can hear roosters crowing in the distance all day long. This is out in the country too, in the Shertzs area North East of SA.

I can only imagine your description if it had been a girl in a bikini!

With so many types of gamefowl and then families of those types, how do you know what type of gamefowl you have? Trying to research the breeds and what their traits are has been frustrating and mostly fruitless.
