The main thing is realizing if the problem is dirty pens, dirty water etc.. If all your birds have a problem it’s you if one or two have an issue it could still be you but more than likely it’s the bird. Weak, molting etc.. Just don’t make excuses for the bird. Down the line you’ll pay the price. It’s not hard to spot a sick bird. Its also pretty obvious if you could have kept the pen cleaner, water fresh etc.
Im included as well. You shouldn’t cull birds if you could have done more to keep them healthy. Especially when confined to a relatively small pen.
One thing is humans don’t run around taking medicine when they’re not sick so it’s best not to preventably treat birds for something that may happen.
