Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Thanks for your input, I absolutely agree. They have so many other good things going for them that I wanted to know if a nice wide bird is born wide or if there is a chance they will still widen after 16 weeks of age. I have always culled the narrow ones before at 16 weeks old but they had many other reasons they were culls as well. In 5 years of breeding, have not come across this before as never kept a narrow one past 16 weeks old. Ones I have kept have changed greatly up to a year old or even longer. I have never considered using a Delaware cockeral for a breeder until at least 8 mos. old.

Hi all!!! My dellies are now 25&27 weeks old! I have 1 girl laying and they are so friendly now!!! They are also very beautiful! Although they didn't grow out like I thought they would, we love them, and hope they will grow out a little chunkier soon!

Yes! The first is quite a character! And yes we don't know how they kept themselves that white and clean!

Great photos! I'm wondering where you got your Dels if you don't mind telling us, they look nice :)
Also, I really like your coop/pen, esp. the attachemnt, we have mostly A Frame runs but the coop/run attachment is nowhere near as nice as how you did yours (as in will have to make sure DH sees THESE photos ;)
