Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

I have to say, one reason I plan to eat my culls ... Because I do not want someone else to use them as breeders. Not because I don't want them to breed Delawares, but because they are not good specimens to be in a Delaware breeder flock. Another reason is because I read that they taste sooooo good!

and I think combs are just hard for most, if not all, Del breeders. Am I right?

Absolutely! And even Ike has a little half-point on the front that would in most minds, make him a six-pointer, but his points are nice and not "serrated" like I often see. Getting five really nice points is a bit of a challenge, for sure. Gracie has five, thank goodness, so I see good things for Isaac's progeny. Crossing fingers for your hatch to be a great one!

The babies and I are both sick of it!

We need a new picture of Ike...Humans Owned by Delawares need their Isaac fix Cyn...how is he today? Are the wenches out with him? I am telling you...take that crock pot outside and have a chat with them

Beth Ultrasuede comes from a good sweet Daddy...and if he is sweet now, he should stay that way. The real test will be breeding age of course but I know Thor has never changed towards me...

Isaac got to run with his girls this morning, but when they started going after his comb and wattles, we pulled him out. Poor sweet boy. Kira is laying again, for sure, so now, I just have to be concerned about Maxie and Phoebe.

Cetawin - I hope Ultrasuede takes after Thor- he still gives me the Drama Queen "eeeek" when I pick him up, but once I have him settled, he seems to snuggle in and enjoy it- he does, however, try to avoid being picked up in the first place. He keeps that beautiful dark eye on my at all times. I got DH to come into the run for a while yesterday, and Ultrasuede went right up to him and checked him out, hung out with him for a while.

I would love to see another picture of Ike myself- and of course, Ultrasuede is always welcome on this thread!!!

Cyn - Open the front door while I yell

LISTEN UP YOU WHITE WENCHES IN THE DELAWARE COOP! YOU MUST LEAVE THAT BOY ALONE OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES....YOU WILL TASTE GOOD WITH GRAVY, BISCUITS AND MASHED POTATOES! YOUR JOB IS TO LAY EGGS, BE NICE TO THE MAN THAT PROTECTS YOU AND YOUR MAMA...GOT IT? THIS APARATUS *holds up her slow cooker to display* IS USED FOR SLOW COOKING YOU ONCE WE REMOVE YOUR HEAD, FEATHERS, FEET AND INNARDS AND CUT YOU INTO QUARTERS! DON'T MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE! LEAVE ISAAC'S WATTLES AND COMB ALONE WENCHES OR ELSE!

Tell me if they listen Cyn. Bad bad girls leave him alone.

Beth - Thor still does not like being picked up. He stopped the eeeeeking a few weeks ago though. He prefer to have his chest rubbed and have the ability to rub himself against you as opposed to picking him up. But once he is picked up, he is great. Thor, thankfully, has his daddy's eyes. I just love Suede's eyes because they look so gentle and sweet.

HAHA I think this one I had would likely be a bitter old bird...lol! I do want to eat some to see how much better they are than store bought. My DD just got overly attached to this particular one, mind you, AFTER I told her not to, but still, she's allowed ONE mistake. I'd eat him if not for that

Anyone as depressed as I am about more bad weather this weekend?
