Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Kathy, Beth and Ladyhawk, forwarded an email from Scott to you with some pics of what he calls the "Pet Shop Restaurant". Am moving slow this morning or I'd put them up for you here on the forum.

It is snowing to beat the band! Cars are covered. Darn it, it's last March in GA!

Cynthia, THANK YOU!

Total snow? It's a weird mix here!! Do keep it over there, ok???

Good grief!!! Cynthia! We are to get a mix, possibly straight snow overnite and it's predicted to melt right away so maybe yours won't last either!

Whatever vitamins you gave your hens and the newborn chicks has paid off, Cyn. I had THREE eggs today, (which makes eight total in 13 days) which means I have at least 3 of the 8 girls laying!!! They will be 19 weeks old Wed/Thurs. by my memory!

Hi to all of my Dellie friends- I am sorry I have been so busy. I come with pictures of my chicks on a day outside. They had such a great time outside and are very curious and adventurous. I love when they all run across the yard together. It reminds me of the scene in Jurassic park when the flock of dinos run across the field. It always makes me laugh!!!! I will try to geta picture of that next time. Talk to you all later~ Tacey

STOP STOP STOP ...I demand it to stop snowing EVERYWHERE. I want clear skies, NO snow for this 2400+ mile trip.

Well it is overcast and windy up here. We had snow Saturday, but it melted by Sunday afternoon.

I've been sick since Thursday, and now my 7 year old has come down with it. Stomach bugs are no fun. I was up all night with him and all I want to do is go curl up in bed. Of coarse if I do that I would not be able to sleep at all tonight.

I love hearing everyones' stories about their birds. I have to laugh though, I seem to bond to the boys much more than the girls. Gonzo my #1 Del roo loves to sit in my lap and be petted. Treats don't work well with him as he just gives them to the girls. That's my interpretation as he just holds the treat in his beak without eating it until one of the girls "procures" it.

The younger roo Kermy is to busy romancing the ladies to give me much mind until he wants to hind behind me when Gonzo decides to break up the romance. I can sit out there for hours just watching that group interact. Just ask my family....

We have more fuzz butts in the incubator this morning. So far we have 2 Del Dixie Rainbow crosses. They are yellow with chipmunk stripes down their backs. There should be lots of pure Dels in this group also. The pen I was collecting from had the 2 Del roos, 9 Del hens, and 5 Dixie Rainbow hens. I have a local lady that wants all of these "test hatch" chicks for her laying flock. They are going to have an excellent home.

Cetawin, it's getting it out of it's system before you leave! I predict sunny skies and good sailing for your journey!
