Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Beth....I told him ions ago that I wanted a goose or two to roam with the birds as hawk deterents. He stood little chance in the argument of "Dave Holderread does it with his ducks and he is the waterfowl expert" argument I threw at him.

I also have not yet told him that three stall areas of the barn are going to be finished as horse stalls so he will not get the entire barn....I will save that surprise for later and when I have bigger bargaining chips.

My undivided attention and affection will only get me so far. hahahahaha

Kathy the goat is on the list anyway....I make goat's milk soap so it will go to go use. I had a bunny when I was in college and had it litter box trained....he was a trip. In the afternoon about 3 pm, he would hop up onto the window sill and watch for me to come walking up the sidewalk then when I got to the door he would run in circles until I picked him up. I had a blast with him. He had upright ears...I prefer those.

I WANT IT ALL and I am gonna have it too...it just make take time and I have plenty of that left in my lifetime, I hope.

I still suggest NO bunnies .... yuk!

You can not convince me on those things. What are they good for, besides multiplying (oh yeah, pets?) .... still,

Ah, the relatively newly remarried me learns SO much from you experienced, long suffering wives. Nothing in the world like a good trade off

The fine art of negotiating!!!

Of course it helps that your DH likes horses - hey, get goats AND a bunny, Cetawin. Kathy, you could always raise them for meat?????

Goat meat eeeeeewwwwww

I had the misfortune of eating some in the middle east and NEVER again. The milk = soap, butter, lawn care and fertilizer I can go with. This ought to make you ladies laugh...Cheyenne is wanting another pet rat. Her boy passed away in 2006 and she really wants a couple more. I admit while freaking me out at first, they are great little pets and fun.

Beth negotiating is a must for a great relationship

HA!!! A male lurker!!!! Scott, we have you to keep us straight and narrow!!!!

But I agree, some thing are not, and should not be, on the possible list of negotiable weapons. However, I think "oh, look, honey, I shined all your tools today and made you lasagna for supper" could certainly pass muster as perfectly innocent and effective. No?

Lasagna and a good back rub would do it for me, LOL. In all seriousness though, all my DW has to do is ask...if we have the $$ and the space all that's left to do is "get 'er dun". Matter of fact she asked this AM about getting stacked rock done around her flowerbeds....oh well, there goes a grand ($$)....but like Evil Kinevil (sp) once said," if God had meant for us to save all if it, He'd have put handles on it "

However, MY DW is into jewelry, NOT chickens, so her wants are a bit more expensive

It is rainy and dreary here today. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Back from the Chickenstock in Hayesville, which is now being rained out the rest of the day. Sold 3 dozen hatching eggs (one guy bought two doz just to eat, but hey, at $3/doz, why not?). I have five dozen hatching eggs if anyone wants to drop over to my place and pick them up.

Otherwise, the birds will have a huge plate of scrambled eggs.
