Tim, how pink is pink? I love the idea of a pink egg. The closest I have is a pale peachy tan from one of my girls.

Ellen, the pledge - you will end up doing it all whether you take the pledge or not. There is something VERY special about Suede sons. And daughters. I get SUCH a kick out of Silk and Satin, who, although they are DIVA drama queens, will let me hold them for a few seconds now. In trade for treats.

Kathy, I got thinking about what you said re: a good roo picking out a nice nest spot for his girls. Luke will frequently inspect the nest boxes when I clean them - I guess he wants to make sure I am doing my job- he has been super sweet lately, and lets me stroke his back. I hope he stays nice when I pull Ultrasuede out to be with his own women. And I hope Ultrasuede will be cool about leaving his favorite Del girls. !!!!

Last year when I was SO new at chickens, we had a rooster (Rupert),..... well, I won't go into detail here.... go to my BYC page and at the very bottom is a story I wrote about him.

Definitely pink. Kinda looks like it's coated in a white but looks definitely pink. I'll see if I can get a good pic. and post it.

Course you've seen some of my WNY spotted eggs. Kinda look like they got purple spots. Look more liver color when they're wet.
