Gerbil, mine had bright yellow legs from day one. The tendency is for the legs to fade as they get older and start laying. I have no idea if yours will darken, but I don't think I have heard of that-
It's hard to tell at that age whether they are show quality or not- they change so incredibly much and I discovered that even at 8 months mine are still changing. Just hang on and see how they develop. Body type is most important, so you want them to be chunky and round, full breasted birds. You want barred tails on the roos and black tail feathers on the hens, and the hackling is a light barring on both, and it's hard to tell when they are young exactly how much or how clearly defined their markings will be. The beaks should not have dark coloration on them. Combs are single 5 points- wing set is horizontal- just keep your eyes open to see if they are developing those traits for starters.
They have the SWEETEST expressions, and they will mind control you no matter how good they look, so enjoy them!
