Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Evening Dellie Cult members! I am in deep poo with my crew. I got off the phone with speckledhen, took Thor, Athena, Cannonball, Fattie, Severus and Penelope out and was carrying sirius out when it started pouring rain AGAIN. So, I scooped everyone up as quickly as possible and started putting them back in the garage. I got MAJOR stinkeye! Athena was voicing her displeasure, Fattie true to form, bit me, Cannonball tried to climb under my jacket and Thor was trying to scoot as far away from me as he could. he would not even look at me when I put him in his little coop.

They have not been outside in over a week and they are beyond ticked off with me. I hope the weather prediction for Mon and Tues holds which calls for no rain and they can go outside for the day. If not, I am going to have to majorly suck up.

Pray for me because I know they are out there plotting against me now.

Cetawin, I think your right! I believe mine just got off the phone with yours and you had better be careful tomorrow when you open the door.

I heard Biden whisper something about Fattie and Cannonball distracting you with cuteness, and Thor will get you from behind. Then there was something about biting and screeching.....

Of course this all depends on my translation skills.

It's possible that things could get worse if they are cooped up longer.

You are both right...I went out there because I heard them raising cane (crowing and talking) and as soon as the garage door opened they all fell silent and faked sleeping! They are out to get me now for sure...they are ticked OFF!

Faking sleep? You didn't fall for that right? That is the oldest trick in the book! I am worried about you Cetawin.

Of course I did not fall for it but I they completely ignored me...I shook Thor to make sure they were okay. They are ticked I am telling you. I am worried about me too...trying to decide HOW to move my babies across country in 90 days give or take....and tons of other worries over what type of housing they will have immediately. I need sleep is what I need. And I need a chicken hug...maybe I shall go ask them for forgiveness with applesauce and just hang out with them a bit. *sigh*

It's a good thing I didn't have a mouth full of coffee or I would be buying a new keyboard. You shook Thor? You are in big trouble. I hate it when they fake sleep. I only poke them when they do that.
Rain or not, you'd better let them out. With the trouble you're in you had better take a few umbrellas and hold it over their heads for them.
Definetely mind control...

<<< yawn >>> Ho hum, I just checked my angels. And, of course, they are sleeping soundly ... the little sweethearts!

No phone calls, no plots, just quietly roosting. .....

PS ... Cetawin, you can stop off here in Missouri and take a break! We have some untouched (by chickens) ground that your poultry can graze upon for awhile. I can only imagine the stress you are going through! Sorry!

Caution, caution. They are slowly sucking you in! You know it, and they won't rest until things are as they like it.

I think you are definitely going to need some kind of assist in transporting the chicks. A friend to haul a uhaul trailer with the chicks in it or some such thing?

It's that or have them all in your lap. And I don't think that Thor will share lap space.

rustyswoman...yes I put hand on Thor's back and wiggled him around...he ignored me. No puffing his chest out for a rub...no "bruuuuuurrrrrrr" that he gives me just ignored me.

kathinmo thank you so so much for that offer...just showed it to DH and he said ty too. we are trying to plan the drive so we are there in about 36 hours... 12 hour driving shifts....so birdies do not have to be in crates and etc too long....who knows.

Laney we are working on a third driver...maybe to drive out and then I fly him back here. It would sure be better for me because I hate driving during the day...I am a night driver for sure. *sigh*

I am going to my bedroom, putting in Return of The King, drool over Legolas for a bit and then getting some sleep...my mind needs a rest. I know it is 90 days out but these are my babies plus I am trying to minimize household stuff too and find a home to move to! That would be a big help to have a home waiting...rental or otherwise.
