Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

YAY For Gracie and her comb!!!!
woot.gif
That is a good compliment- so she has laid her first egg- how soon can we see Gracie babies?

Shelley- sorry I got your name wrong - old age and WAY too much worry over Cetawin's threats against my blue Orp roo- your hen is a beautiful little plumpette- I really like her! And one extra point on your roo's comb is not the worst thing-
Where are you thinking of getting your eggs this spring?

Cyn- if all of your hens are as gorgeous as Gracie then I don't see how you're going to keep up with all the requests for hatching eggs coming your way! Very beautiful birds!

Thanks for the compliment on my hen...that's just one of my girls. I was having issues uploading, so I finally got ticked off and quit trying to add anymore. I had the link to a Delaware breeder's website, but I just went through my bookmarks and the website no longer exists!

I guess I've got more research to do...do you have any suggestions?

Cyn has so graciously started another generation of Dels with a bunch of us Del addicts! Shoot, there are gonna be so many Delaware eggs available in the spring ..... ! All originating from Isaac and his girls!

Then, my work is done. I can pass the torch on to you fine Del-fanciers I've created.

If you must ..... but, it will never be the same! I know you want to down-size. You have done well, assuring the line will continue to produce!

Sometimes, I think I want to downsize and then, on days when I really enjoy them, I want more! I'm terrible, LOL. At least, if I do decide to sell any of the girls, I've already gotten Delawares into the hands of quite a few folks who, hopefully, will try to breed them, paying attention to the standard. They really are their own best press agents, though!

oh very nice. The more I see of the breed the more I like them, and the color is so pleasing to the eye I think.

well it was 11* here last night - 11* at the end of the rodeo, but today is not so bad. But no ice storms and no power loss so

I'm happy. lol
the flock is doing good, I should get eggs for my broody in the next week or two. They are all looking like growen ups. I wish the boys would crow

I love the sound, guess thats why I like the games so much. I'll have to get some more pics.

I'm finding that Sweetheart was not the bird she was befor, she is very shy with the other birds. But is happy with people, she jumped on my borthers back yesterday, and fallows me like a cat. I still don't know how well she can see out of that eye, but if she stays a loner and dose not make the cut for breeding {size} she will get to be a house/shop chicken

Do we know what the flag is going to say yet?

Contgrats on Gracie's first egg Cynthia

Have all you Blue Suede ladys taken over the Orp thred yet?

I think about them, and Jersey Giant's but I think I'll have my hands full with what I've got for a while.
