Yes, I agree. The time they start to feather out their tail feathers give them the power to fly a bit is the best. They are ill behaved and curious about everything. That is definately the best time. Speaking of... I have a brood of bantam barnevelders + 1 wheaten penedesenca right now that are just about to that point. After dealing with Delawares so long, you forget how slow other breeds can be. Speaking of the 1 WP... anyone have any experience with wheaten penedesencas? I want to know if it is a cockrel or pullet. (*fingers crossed* please be a pullet, please be a pullet) I'll go take a picture and put up a thread about it...
