Thank heaven Cetawin will have better weather! I told my DH her saga this morning and he just stared at me with his mouth open. Thanks, Cynthia, for keeping us posted!

Jeremy- I hope your little Orp makes it! And that you can get us some pics today!!!

PPPuppy- I like Ben, too. They are both handsome roos, but Ben looks sweeter- your hens are beautiful. And thanks for sharing baby pics, I love them!!!! What a rush to have your second generation! My 10 are related to yours- how is the hidden wing black on your kids- I am still not sure I know what it should look like.

Afternoon all....beautiful day here in NW Ga, 'bout 80degs!!

Finally, 2 of my younger girls are laying. Sassy, the one with "a little barring and a little tail black" nad Sugar, my almost "blonde" girl.

Gotta think of a name to "re-name" L'il Bit today...I found her a while ago with a snake, head bit off, slurping it down like spaghetti. What a woman!! It was a small snake, but I guess I won't worry about too many of them being around here!

I've got some sweey news

all of my girls are laying now, I got 2 Del eggs side by side today. and a friend is giving me the wood I need for my new coop{s} all I need to get are some hinges, and some wire. so it looks like me and good ol' Broody Mama will be ready to hatch out some del babys at the same time

everyone is all growen up, the boys have a little more tail to come in, but i think it's about time for some more pics. and I got brave the other day and let them out. so when it's nice out they get to free range for a little while in the afternoon.

Jeremy, you need to do a count of the Delawares that have hatched as soon as you get off work! We went right into summer today! Put the fans back in all the coops, too.

Has anyone here ordered Delaware eggs from Whitmore farm? Does anyone here have anymore information about Whitmore than what is on their website and in Backyard Poultry magazine?

Rancher Hicks - try using the search here on Whitmore Farms, I think they have been mentioned several times. I can't remember a whole lot, but I do remember reading about them here.

Just wanted to let you know that your eggs hatched today! Out of 18 eggs we had a hatch of 12 (so far). The eggs were 12 Dels and 6 EE. We have 2 EE out and the rest Dels (10). They are too cute. I will get some pictures tomorrow before I out them in the brooder.
