Sorry, he's MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a beauty, Kathy- man you must have gotten the right roo eggs! Luke has lots of nice qualities, but your boys are REALLY nice! They seem to know they are gorgeous, too. How is his personality?

Harriet hit day 20 today, by my reckoning. I have actually built around her, and will complete the box in the morning. One wall and the floor are hay bales that she in on and pushed up against- she is a free ranger and I am afraid to move her into my big brooder. Besides, I am saving that for the possibility that she has decided she has hatched her own dinner or something. She has a back wall that I slipped in behind her and screwed to the wall, and a far wall hiding behind the other hay bale she is against. I can pull that bale out tomorrow morning and screw a front in, leaving her a 4 x 3 space that I am HOPING a chickie can't slip through. I hope to keep her content in there for a day or two, and then see what happens.
I had planned on having an empty horse stall, but got the chance to get some really good hay for practically nothing, and had to grab it.

That is the plan, of course, if any of those eggs were fertile and hatch. I did not try to candle anything.
I could end up smelling like Kathy tomorrow or the next day!!!

Just kidding, Kathy!

Beth, I have not so great news for you. Removed eggs under Panda and she has only three left that are viable--Lexie's, Fern's and one of Smoky's. That's it. As far as Smoky's egg goes, if pullet, it's yours. If cockerel, Cetawin has first pick.

Ha, Polly is so big and fat .... you would need a truck to transport her! Look how big she is inside this tractor tire taking a dirt bath....

That Delaware boy is one of two still growing out. One is for Beth. I will get pictures of the other one tomorrow.
