Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

awwwww Scott I cannot wait to see the pictures....back in Oregon, I got up one morning to let the girls out and walked past my garden and just felt like I was being watched...I looked back and there were triplets hidden in the overgrown garden, not even 25 feet from the house. They were absolutely adorable. I never went near them but just sat in the livingroom with my coffee watching them.

Ok....here is Mama and the babies (look closely, there are 2 fawns)

Scott- thank you-they are such delicate little things!

Kathy- that bird vet doesn't know what he has let himself in for. . .but it sure is a nice resource!

How did everyone do in the heat today? I raced home from work with my heart tied in knots, but all is well. The new chicks are still with us- whew!

It must be "in the air".....Mammy is broody AGAIN (2nd time this yr). Ain't letting her hatch NOTHING after her first attempt...mean ole mama.

She is getting a good dunkin' in COLD water tomorrow....experts say that should break 'em

BTW - Landon and I were well on our way to finishing the fenced area for the chickens tonite...BUT, another "summertime favorite" spoiled it all. I got into a yellow jackets nest and got stung 6 - 8 times.....I hate those lil critters!!

WELL....better me than Colby. He is HIGHLY allergic...we carry Epipens everywhere for him "just in case". Right now I just have a few swollen, itchy spots. I'm really bummed more by the fact I can't finish the fencing tonight....oh well. I'll kill the nest later, after dark
