I have several boys in the growout pen that I'm culling, and someone wanted to pick one out. We went for color and conformation over the comb and she picked out a beaut. He had a little cluster like that on the back of the comb, too, but nice broad chest, good leg color, barring, etc. I hope he does well for her.

Well- I have a little problem. I brought home 4 delaware chicks, and am splitting them with Nellabean. I put them in the brooder with a mess of other chicks the exact same age. Problem is- one of the delawares is apparently still all white (1 1/2 weeks). I have white rocks & leghorns in the brooder too.

Same comb, same leg color, mostly the same size. What do I do- the rest of the whites are for sale and if I give my friend her 2, I don't want to accidently sell it!

When will it start to show some color?
