Show off your Indian Runners!

How much $$ do the show qualities run? If no one minds, I'm just curious...

It all depends on the age. Ducklings, which are from Show stock could start at $7.50 each and adults could run from $50.00 to $100.00 and up depending on quality. Often you will find stock at shows in their swap section. Last weekend at a show in Wisconsin, someone offered a pair (male and Female) of "Gray" Runners at a silent auction. They were lovely! I'm not sure of what they ultimately sold for?

I love Galgos Espanol! We saw tons when I judged a Hound Show in Sweden in 2006.

I told them if they keep tilting their heads like that, they're going to stay that way!!

That's cool, I didn't realize Sweden had a lot of the galgos. I knew Germany and France "imported" many of them. The one in my avatar passed away this spring at the age of 12. I rescued her when she was 5. The two I have now were brought to the US by a rescue group in NY.

Galgo98 what color Runners do you have? I just love them! I entered 3 colored Runners at a big show coming up. They'll be AOV colors (Blue Dusky, Blue Trout and Blue/fawn). Your's have gorgeous heads.

Also, there were huge Galgo entries in Sweden, but they came from all over, including Finland. I especially liked the rough coated ones. They reminded me of a cross between a Greyhound and Scottish Deerhound, but I know the breed is very old. It's too bad they are so abused in their own Country.
