The hatchery advertises BBR and spangled, back two are almost a warm truffle color on the down in person, compared to the third lighter chick in the front.

Was gonna say they looked like my spangled hen did as a chick... They're awful cute.

Oh I hope I'm lucky enough to get some spangles, not that they aren't perfectly lovely in plain brown. But I just adore some variety.

Spangled is my favourite variety. I have a cockerel growing out I think will be some colour similar to spangled... I know it isn't pure. I'm awful tempted to keep him.

That hen is gorgeous, WV... I want a few more OEGB hens but I have the worst luck. Out of about 12 OEGB chicks I have bought or hatched, ONE has been female. That's it.
