Yes. Trying to figure out how to get some of these babies home. They live on the streets here in Key West. Beautiful long legged birds.

Sad to say, wonderful this morning but I literally just received a call from my husband. He found her flopped over in the brooder on the heating pad and she died in his hands while he was mixing up some emergency sugar water to administer. At least we tried. Poor thing.

It's ok, and thank you. But you will probably next read that it was a seemingly healthy buff chick my husband mistook and the mushy chick is still thriving at this point. I was shocked to discover that last night.

Something tells me if this one lives it's going to be a mean old rooster.

They've been here since the 1800's, brought here by the Cubans. Very Jungle Fowlish. Yes, they live, breed and raise their chicks in the streets.
