What is receive black? There's so much to know with this breed... That's one reason I love them so much. I brought a bunch to a swap yesterday and people couldn't buy them fast enough.

Recessive black allows red leakage. There's another gene in there that dilutes the red as well.

Lemon black sounds gorgeous, I don't think I've ever seen one before. Off to look them up!

Lemon blacks are essentially brown reds, but produced from 2 blue parents (Lemon Blues). I'm using them to start a line of Brown Reds.

I have 12 SDW eggs and one blue brassy/SDW cross egg in lockdown (plus 6 seramas) and hens of the same breeds on eggs also, all due tomorrow or Wed. The only pip so far is the cross. I have a feeling it will hatch before the others even pip!

Give me a break down of what you have in chicks and incubating. I feel like you have 100 chicks and 2000 eggs incubating right now, piecing it together from your posts lol!
