Been a while since I showed any photos, so I'm going to share my pretty purple lad!

And a special photo from an angle that is arguably silly and difficult to get:

THROUGH his train  He's such a goober, absolutely does not care when I'm standing right there pawing through his feathers.

And my holdback from last year that ended up not being breedable anyway, due to food allergies, but still a gosh darn adorable companion: Artemis! *jazz hands*

Her best trick:

And chilling with her boyfriend, Stan, on the night of the polar vortex when they had to have a sleepover inside:

And some of the day they met:

And the day I first brought her outside to the pen(she had to come back in when she had an allergic reaction to something in their food, which I've since changed to something safe for her, but she's been inside all winter because she never grew a winter coat while we had her in trying to figure out what was wrong):

I'm looking forward to things warming up so she can go back out with him. I can't ever hatch babies from them, because he came in as a rescue with messed up bones (one wing so bad he can't bear enough weight on it to fly) and she's got severe allergies to normal feeds, but they're super sweet to each other so it'll be nice that they will each have a friend to hang out with that isn't chickens.

Love the pics of Artemis & Stan. Especially the one of them sitting on your legs! Amazed with her tail trick! That's so cute!!

@KsKingBee I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't resist the butt fluffies..... They're just..... So fluffy..... :lau

@memphis they're both hams, love attention. Since Stan is older he's not quite as outright cuddly anymore (he's also got some neurological vision issues, which doesn't help the poor boy) but he'll still play chase with me in the barn and accept a hug when I get home from work. And of course..... Play dress up on Halloween

(It's just his normal indoors diaper with felt wings velcroed on for the night. The kids LOVED him, and he was so happy to see all the bright colors and little kids.... For some reason this lad LOVES children of all sorts. I should find that video I took ofthe first time he met a newborn baby peachick.... Heart-meltingly sweet)

Aww...look at Stan! Wonderful that the kids get to meet a peacock! Such a cool experience for kids! I have a turkey hen who loves kids. She'll give them hen hugs.

Hen hugs are so good!!! My turkey hen is too scary for most people, but she is all talk- or maybe I should say all YELL lol

I found the video of Stan talking to our little rescue chick that had been dropped off with us the day before:
