Show off your Peas!

Thank you, he is a Spalding bronze pied peacock.

He is beautiful! I was thinking that I am hoping to produce these eventually, I have the Bronze BS boy with the random white feathers, as well as a Spalding Bronze male, and a Bronze hen with random white feathers. It now occurs to me that I am hooked on Pied birds, and it seems my end goals are all headed that way.

The Blues certainly have their own special beauty or there would not be so many people having and enjoying them, but I have never been one to follow the beaten path. I am moving towards the different colors and enjoying the variety that nature provides.

I too am hooked on the pieds. I do not have any but not from the lack of trying! ;) I'm pretty confident that the two whites I bought back in October are both males so I'll be back in the market for trading or selling then I'll be on the hunt again.

Very Beautiful bird @q8peafowl!

We all hooked on pieds, 3 years ago my goal was to only raise pieds or silver pieds birds, today i'm getting silver pied or pied birds from all my pens, except my bronze bs pen and my java pen, it happened quicker than i imagined.

You will need a bronze pied hen to mate her with your split white boys, if you had the chance to breed a bronze bs pied birds, this will be great, they still count as a rare birds.

How many birds you have now?
i believe we are close to 150....20 of them are peafowl....mom almost picked up a purple male 2009 for 150 bucks...and there was a spaulding male 2010 for 150 bucks....but i told her to slow down....maybe soon enough...lol..mom is getting into the birds now...but by the end of the month we should be close to 350...the cabinet incubator is full and the coolerbators are full as well...

My beautiful new peacock, he looks a bit tired but hoping its just the new place making this.

very nice looking bird for sure... you sure do have pretty birds...one day ill get there...

I cannot be sure until I start breeding, but I think my 2 Bronze(1 BS Male and 1 barred wing female) are split to pied, not white. I do not remember exact genetics on them, but it seems no parents were pied, but there were some split to Pied and split to WE.
