I can't believe i did not get a calender this year, so i made one and it is my screen saver.

The netting is to keep peacocks in the aviary .... but also to prevent the peacocks to enter!
Spalding peacocks are a little more aggressive ... more intelligent and eccentric ... this one will be 2 years old and already its territory.
....He wants his second round....!

I had that happen recently my Spalding white Frosty got stuck on the outside of the pen and was standing on the netting. I had to keep putting my hands under his feet so he could push off but he kept flying the wrong way. Eventually I got him off the netting and into the pen. I am glad that the peafowl don't seem to tangle in the netting. I have had small wild birds get stuck in the netting before though. Most of the time I am able to save them but I have had two die from being stuck in the netting which is always sad.

This bronze hen has two white feathers on her back, but she is not out of the bronze progressive pieds. Maybe I will have a prog pied pair.
