[Garden Peas]

we see it off and on , there is a breeding pair that nest about 3 to 4 mile as the crow flys from my place ,we live in Orangefield ,they have been there for a very long time they were part of a population plan from what i read , this is one of their offspring i am sure ,it is immature and has not gotten all it's white feathers yet

Sadly no. I wish I could see snow owls in person. Though I've seen snow geese every once in a while. There's usually at least a pair to two pairs in every four flocks of Canadian Geese I see. There's a flock Mute and Black Swans just north of me. If I get a photo I will post it

A few weeks ago my dad took a friend of ours hunting and he got a deer. He cleaned it in our barn then put the hide and everything somewhere out back. Recently I found scraps of the deer right near the bird pen. I figure it is the coyotes. I don't worry about them getting my peafowl. We have foxes around here too but I only worry about the big raccoons. It was a bit scary when I heard a coyote calling in the daytime really close by. it sounded like it came from behind the barn so I got a knife and walked back there and saw a coyote by the woods looking at me and then it ran off. The coyotes here are said to have some red wolf blood. Old acounts of Florida say that we once had a black breed of wolf, mountain lions, woodland bison, etc. Pretty interesting to think about how wild it once was.

Pretty boy, the damp and wet weather make my males train change color also but they do not have bronze in their background

Wow ZAC how long of a tail does that pea have and is that how long all of them get?
