Show off your Peas!

I figure it might be a while before Destinduck gets on, so here are photos from his profile of his setup just for those interested.

Note the green peacock in the background. Destinduck always puts in fresh sand in this pen which I am sure is helping to keep the mud away.

I was just at a duck breeders house and he had an amazing aviary...pond was about ten by twenty and the hole area was prolly 60 by 60 and he had some pheasants in there...but he had trees, ornamental grass and regular grass everywhere...there was no dirt in his aviary...I was so impressed...and he has about hundred ducks...all sorts..and he has like 60 pens with other birds...I hope I can get there one day...note to mention..he had all those birds....but no peafowl...I found that very interesting...maybe there was a reason for it....not sure and I didn't ask

he has exotics tho domestics and exotics are wayyyy different domestics are 3x dirtier I had a shelduck in a 15x15 pen for about 1 month never even had to change his water and the grass never died never even had mud!

he had different types of mandarins, call ducks, wood ducks, pintails, mallards, and small green ducks...looked like a small version of a Cayuga ...not sure if he had any other ducks in that area

While birdman55 and Birdrain92 have similar screen names, I can tell that birdman55 loves getting advise and accepting it a whole lot more. Sorry I just had to say it.

Couldn't agree with you more!

Did you get any photos of the aviary?

nope but I did buy all of his birds he had for sale...and when I go next time I will get some pics for sure...the ducks had their own separate pens and it spanned the whole length of one of the sides...it was really cool...learned a lot that day too....mom was there with me that day...I believe it was close to thanksgiving time...and I have his birds eating out of my hands already...I think some of the yellow goldens that I have imprinted on me...the one on my shoulder is one of them in my avatar....
