Show off your Peas!

like everyone is saying most people don't get the birds the right amount using water...just for example....for safeguard I used 2 1/3 tbspn in one gallon with the chickens for five straight days and everynight when I went out there there was a white chaulky residue on the bottom...that would be the safeguard ....which wasn't in the birds....I will never use water for giving the wormers....I might find great deals with peafowl but I don't have the time to wait another four years for them to reproduce....and then have to track down another specific bird...as you can see im on here all the time and spend many hours researching and contacting new people for different types of birds....and within 8 months I have close to a hundred breeders prolly more all over the country that I have spoke to and know what they breed and what they currently have on hand...to me people on here are bird lovers and for them to steer people in one direction for the benefit of that animals longevity and you as the person responsible for the quality of the bird decide to go a different way...don't be surprised when something does happen and then you find out....man I should have....in my situation I look at it like this.....man I did this right and nothing has happened bad since so I might be doing something right with the help of the people on here...if you follow my threads you know that one of my chickens was sick...I took her in and got on byc and within 24 hours she was fixed and within another 24 hours she was back in the flock with the help of people on here and learning how to tube feed...I think I have come along way in a short period of time learning....and IM THANKFUL FOR EVERYONE ON THIS SITE....that's y I have no problem giving back to people on this site...like a lady that just came over and I gave her some of my baby chicks for free....and another person who I am giving free eggs to....(she is hoping to be on the cover of the Martha stuart magazine with some of the eggs....)so thanks again everyone for all the knowledge and help...as you can see im listening

and this is the best place on earth to learn things together and make changes as needed like how folks worm peafowl, the 3cc per gallon is out the door,

was out my door right off the bat when i got to thinking how diluted that method was so i use a food mixture as my way of worming them, so i know they get enough to kill all their worms not just cut their numbers down in the birds system

Wow I didn't know they had food mixtures either!!! Feel like I've been living in a cave HA!

You are also getting it in your area. I thought it was just the Northwest. Thankfully that none of my birds have gotten it but there is a warning that was broad casted saying that there is Avian Influenza.

Not in the Midwest. Just a friendly notification of the situation arising in the northwest. It is concerning nonetheless. Just striking a conversation for thought.
